Faith Formation

“Three things are necessary for the salvation of man: to know what he ought to believe; to know what he ought to desire; and to know what he ought to do.”
– St. Thomas Aquinas

Faith Formation for High School Students Is Three-fold:

1) BASIC FORMATION – for Baptized students who have been away from the Church or who have somehow missed earlier faith formation.  Students who successfully complete this level will move into the Formative Preparation year of Confirmation Preparation.

2) CONFIRMATION PREPARATION – for students preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation and begin their mission as full members of the Catholic Church.  This is typically a 2-year program (Formative Prep and Immediate Prep); students who have attended or are currently attending Catholic school are not exempt from the Formative Preparation year. All incoming Confirmation Prep students are assessed via interview with the Coordinator of Youth Ministry to determine the Faith Formation level that will best suit their needs.

3) ONGOING FAITH FORMATION – for Confirmed teens in the form of  monthly Bible study, L.I.F.E. nights, Large Group sessions, and other events.
